When this book came out, my agent Jaime told me to keep talking about it as if it’s publication day. I have almost entirely failed to do that but, recently, perhaps overcome by some kind of mania, I’ve been signing and posting dozens of copies of A Modest Book About How To Make An Adequate Speech.
I took photos of every book I signed and wrapped like this, and I was going to post a picture of each one here today – but, honestly, it takes hours to edit the pictures in order to conceal the names and addresses, and I really can’t be bothered.

I’ve had some very warm feedback, so I’ll keep doing it. If you would like a copy of one of my books, I’ll sign it and send it to you directly with pleasure (while stocks last, as they say). Just let me know.
